Biennale Cinema

From 27th August to 6th September 2025

The 81. International Film Festival is organised by La Biennale of Venice, with the aim of promoting the knowledge and diffusion of international cinema in all its forms of art, entertainment and industry, in a spirit of freedom and dialogue.

The world's oldest film exhibition takes place on the Venice Lido and is officially recognised by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers' Associations).

A section of the festival is dedicated to the enhancement of the restoration of classic films in order to contribute to the knowledge of film history, particularly for the benefit of young audiences.
