The Vogalonga is much more than a regatta: it is a celebration of water, silence and Venetian rowing tradition.
Every year, thousands of rowers from all over the world, united by the same spirit of respect and passion, come together.
Rowing boats of all shapes and sizes glide along a route of over 30 kilometres that crosses the lagoon and the heart of Venice. From St Mark's Basin, passing through the islands and returning via the Grand Canal, participants row without competition, guided only by the rhythm of their oars and the breath of the city on the water.
The Vogalonga is an invitation to slow down, to listen to the echo of the oars replacing the noise of engines, to rediscover an authentic and respectful relationship with the lagoon environment. It is a collective journey, a meeting of cultures, an embrace of the truest Venice.
